What Fruits Should be Avoided During Pregnancy


Fruits are always nutritious and healthy to your body but there are certain foods that you must completely avoid during your pregnancy time since they can cause complications and also account for miscarriages. So before planning for a baby or once conceived, consult a gynaecologist to get the complete diet for your pregnancy. This can actually prevent complications and other medications during foetus growth.
The below given fruit list must be avoided during pregnancy,
  1. Watermelon - Pregnant ladies must avoid eating watermelon since this has the variant that flushes out toxins from the body i.e. your fetus may face all the toxins inside the womb.
  2. Pineapple - The most and must be avoided fruit is pineapple. This can increase your uterine contractions and cause bleeding leading to miscarriage.
  3. Grapes -  Both green and black grapes must be avoided during pregnancy. Actually the skin of grapes is not easy to digest since you will have weak digestive procedures.
  4. Papaya -  Both ripe and unripe papayas must be strictly avoided by the pregnant woman since these fruits can cause impairment in fetus growth. Also, they can also generate uterine contractions causing bleeding.
  5. Tamarind - The fruit suppresses progesterone level since it has high vitamin C. Lower level of this progesterone causes miscarriages in the woman.
  6.  Bananas -  Bananas can cause allergies since it has latex. It will increase heat level and thus it must be avoided during the time.
  7. Sesame seeds: These seeds must be avoided in any form since they too induce uterine contraction and bleeding.
  8. Dates - These are rich in nutrients. Taking one or two per day is advisable but more than that can cause complications.
  9. Berries -  Avoid eating berries as canned or frozen. Also, avoid eating foods that are kept frozen for long periods. Since have only starch and no nutrients in them causing complications to your babies. Rather eat fresh berries.
